Words cannot describe how proud we are of our team! Each and every one of our Novice Team showed up in the best shape of their lives and they continued to prove that Team GOTS is a “family of champions”.
Team GOTS - Champions of Dedication, Champions of Perseverance, Champions of Life!
The Novice Team, Christina and I also want to thank the other members of Team GOTS and CrossFit Manitoba who came out to show their support! It speaks volumes about our team’s character and shows the values that we all hold true to our hearts. “Together in sacrifice… together in success!”
On a similar note – CrossFit Manitoba client Karen Cassidy has tied a CrossFit Headquarters “trophy case” record! After her Friday morning workout, we decided to see how much Karen improved her 500m row time, which was previously an already incredible 2m04sec. We are happy to announce that Karen tied the fastest women’s time recorded on the CrossFit.com website… 1m44sec! Keep in mind, there are many Olympic athletes and Special Operations military personnel who have posted their time on that site! Congrats to Karen! Fyi, within the next week, we’ll be videotaping her next attempt for submission to CrossFit.com so that the world can see what Karen can do!
Next up is the INTYS Media “Complete Package” Model Search, this coming Friday, April 4th, at the Pantages Theatre. Get your tickets at ticketmaster and come cheer on Dominique Pujo and Sherry Haig!
GO TEAM GOTS!
Yours in strength,
Darren & Christina.
As many of you know we, Darren & Christina, travelled to CFHQ in Santa Cruz, California for a Level 2 Cert Course, Feb 14-15, 2008. We had a great time, and by the afternoon of the first day we had already earned the nickname, "those Crazy Canucks".
In addition to making it on the CFHQ record board for some deadlifting and push presses while warming up, Darren became the first person in CFHQ history to lift the famous Thomas Inch Dumbell (80kg or 176 lbs) overhead one-handed!
Check out the video of this awesome display of strength...

We are now less than 2 weeks from the first physique show of the competition season, the MABBA Novice Championships on Saturday, March 29th. We have a great team getting ready for this year's show and no doubt Team GOTS is going to be well represented. Come out and cheer on our team!
Check out our "Upcoming Events" page for more info, or ticketmaster.ca for tickets.
Darren
We are happy to announce that at today's MABBA's Annual General Meeting, Christina was elected to the Executive Board of MABBA as Secretary-Treasurer and I was elected as the first ever Bodybuilding Athlete Representative.
We are excited to have been given this opportunity to give back to the sport and organization that has given us so much in the past! We look forward to bring new ideas to the membership, and help the sport of bodybuilding, women's fitness & figure grow even bigger!
Thank you to all who came out to vote... we appreciate the support.
